Silverphone are a pioneering telecommunications company supplying mobile phones to the elderly and those with disabilities. They required a website that would be fully accessible to their target audience. The shopping experience needed to be easy to follow and simple to navigate. CSS Design and Accessibilty
One fo the key requirements for Silverphone was that this site could
be recommended by RNIB (Royal National Institute for the Blind) to their
members. A fluid CSS design was neded where text could be resized and
the deisgn would stretch and adapt to fit. We also had to submit the site
for a RNIB 'See It Right Accessible Website Audit'. A major feature of
the site is the addition of a low graphics - text only - version of the
site which would allow those with older browsers, mobile internet, screen
readers and disabilities to still get the best out of silverphone.co.uk.
